LGBTQ+ Equality

I  will fight every day against GOP fear-mongering that puts our LGBTQ+ community at risk. I will be an ally for the LGBTQ+ community in the State Senate. Georgia does not have a comprehensive civil rights law that outlaws discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, and gender identity. I am committed to passing civil rights legislation that would protect individuals from discrimination in housing, public accommodations, and employment. Everyone deserves equal protection under the law. And now that the Supreme Court has overturned Roe v Wade, we know they may come for marriage equality next. I will fight to pass marriage equality into law to prevent Republicans from banning it in Georgia.

As State senator, I will fight to:

- Pass comprehensive legislation to outlaw discrimination

- Protect kids from bullying and harassment

- Pass a marriage equality law to prevent Republicans from overturning it

- Invest in healthcare and other services for the LGBTQ+ community
